Introduction: On June 6th, 1944, Normandy made its mark in history and became the battle ground of the greatest military operation of all times. Today you will visit important sites such as the American cemetery of Saint Laurent, Pegasus Bridge, Omaha Beach and Arromanches.

Description:

Start the day with a drive through Normandy to Benouville where you will discover the famous Pegasus Bridge and see the Cafe Gondree, the first house to be liberated in France. Then you drive along the coasts of Juno and Gold before arriving in Arromanches.

You will have a visit to the Landing Museum where you can relive the most important hours of the D-Day landings and the battle of Normandy. Then free time to see the remains of the artificial port (built by the Allies in less than 15 days).

After lunch which is served in a typical restaurant, the afternoon begins with the visit of Omaha Beach. You will have time to spend some moments in silence on the beach, then visit of Saint-Laurent's American cemetery where 9386 soldiers are resting.

At the end of the afternoon, before returning to Paris, discovery of the Pointe du Hoc, well-known for its heroic assault.
